Hello and welcome on our new Blog which is all about RICA IV!

We’re mechatronics student, known as the MKX, in IMT Mines d'Ales engineering school.

​

Reading this blog, you will find all development step of our project and how we will solve the problematic of the CEA of Marcoule. This project is about the RICA robot, but you must ask yourself what it is exactly about.

 

The RICA is a nuclear dismantling robot created in order to investigate irradiate area which is impossible for human to examine it. So, the CEA wants to use a smart explorer.

The CEA required the MKX class to improve the RICA robot. The RICA IV.

So, we split the class in two. Each team will build their own robot and will introduce it to the CEA. The competition will be hard to make the best robot. Best of luck to you all, may the odds be ever in their favour.

The first team on the upside is composed by (left to right): Agathe, Cyril, Lionel, Samir, Grégoire, Erwan, Léa, Johan, Florian, Mélanie and Tom. They are working on a robot with modular tracks and movable gravity center.
